Is dopamine bad?

This neurotransmitter is key to coordinating movements, feeling interest, and enjoying everything around us. The risk appears when certain substances raise their levels well above what is natural. Over time, the brain gets used to it and the body no longer seeks pleasure, but rather avoids the discomfort of its absence.
Dopamine is not the problem. The problem is what breaks its balance.
